Assessing our food system - Reports & Data

Cornell Cooperative Extension of Oneida County received a two-year (March 2011 - March 2013), $100,000 USDA Hunger Free Communities grant which supported a broad assessment of the local food system as well as the formation of a local Food Policy Advisory Council.   The results of that food system assessment are summarized in the final grant report at the link below.  

MVFAN was fortunate to be supported also by the efforts of Cornell University student Ben Helmes, who wrote his thesis for a Master's Degree in Regional Planning on the topic "Food System Indicators for Oneida County, New York", which is also linked below.
